Best Graphics Card For Warframe 1080P
Gaming at 1080P does not require a powerful graphics card, nowadays you can pick up a 1080P capable card for around $200. As for Warframe, it’s not a graphically intensive game although it does look great. All the graphics cards I mention here can max the game out at 1080P 60FPS +
GTX 1660 TI | Best Graphics Card For Beginners
Core Clock Speed – 1500 MHz(base), 1830 MHz(boost), Cores – 1536, Memory – GDDR6/6GB, Memory Clock – 12000 MHz, Memory Bandwidth – 288.0 GB/s, Length(MM) – 204MM, Outputs – 1xHDMI, 3xDisplayPort, TDP – 120W
For a more budget-friendly card, the 1660 TI is a great 1080P option that would go well with the Ryzen 5 3600x, this will make for an affordable build for Warframe and similar games. The 1660 TI will provide enough juice to run Warframe at ultra settings with an average of 160FPS. Higher resolutions such as 1440P may be possible since the GPU has 6GB of VRAM, but for optimal performance, we recommend 1080P.
In case you didn’t know, the 1660 TI has ray tracing support which is thought to be only reserved for RTX cards. This card would be a perfect pick if you’d like to dabble with raytracing at a budget price.
Our recommended CPU for this GPU would be either the Ryzen 5 5600x or the I5 10600K because they’re both great mid-tier processors that get the job done at 1080P. And if you were to upgrade to a faster GPU for higher resolutions, these processors would do just fine at 1440P.
RX 5600 XT | Best 1080P Graphics Card
Core Clock Speed – 1465 MHz(base), 1560 MHz(game), 1620 MHz(boost), Cores – 2304, Memory – GDDR6/6GB, Memory Clock – 12000 MHz, Memory Bandwidth – 288.0 GB/s, Length(MM) – 280MM, Outputs – 1xHDMI, 3xDisplayPort, TDP – 150W
When it comes to 1080P gaming, the 5600 XT dominates because that’s its main purpose. The 5600 XT is marketed as the best 1080P graphics card because it offers the best bang for your buck. Running Warframe on this graphics card at 1080P will be no issue at all with an average frame rate of 270FPS.
In terms of specifications, this RX 5600 XT has a +30% base clock speed OC compared to the reference card 1130MHz -> 1465MHz, this will reflect in-game with extra frames per second. If you plan on overclocking the GPU more, ensure that you tweak the fan speed for adequate cooling.
Our recommended CPU for this GPU would be the Ryzen 5 5600x or the I7 10700K, this would make for a high performing system that can do more than just gaming. The 5600 XT is borderline 1440P territory in terms of performance, so a decent CPU is necessary to reduce bottlenecks.
RTX 2060 SUPER | Best Budget Ray Tracing
Core Clock Speed – 1470 MHz(base), 1695 MHz(boost), Cores – 2176, Memory – GDDR6/8GB, Memory Clock – 14000 MHz, Memory Bandwidth – 448.0 GB/s, Length(MM) – 248MM, Outputs – 1xHDMI, 3xDisplayPort, TDP – 175W
The RTX 2060 SUPER is the main competitor of the RX 5600 XT, so you should see similar performance between these graphics cards. The biggest difference is that the RTX 2060 SUPER has ray tracing capabilities, so if you’re interested in advanced lighting then pick up the 2060 SUPER. For Warframe, you should experience an average of 300 FPS at 1080P ultra settings.
It has 8GB of VRAM which means that you’re able to game at a higher resolution without stutters. Even at 1440P, the RTX 2060 SUPER should do just fine whilst running Warframe.
It’s worth mentioning that the design of this graphics card is fantastic at dispersing heat from the GPU core. The TWIN FROZR design specialises in keeping the card cool whilst staying quiet, it does this by terminating the fan speed once the GPU reaches a certain temperature which is 60C.
Our recommended CPU for this graphics card is the Ryzen 5 5600x since this is the CPU that minimizes bottlenecks at a decent price.
Best Graphics Card For Warframe 1440P & 4K
Warframe at 1440P is a massive graphical upgrade for 1080P, and you don’t need a high performing graphics card to run Warframe at this resolution. 1440P is considered the new sweet-spot because it’s a great balance between quality and performance.
On the other hand, 4K is more on the visual side of gaming disregarding performance, but with the release of Big Navi and the RTX 3000 series, 4K is becoming a more practical option for gaming.
RX 5700 XT | Affordable 1440P GPU
Core Clock Speed – 1770 MHz(base), 1905 MHz(game), 2010 MHz(boost), Cores – 2560, Memory – GDDR6/8GB, Memory Clock – 14000 MHz, Memory Bandwidth – 448.0 GB/s, Length(MM) – 306MM, Outputs – 2xHDMI, 2xDisplayPort, TDP – 265W
The RX 5700 XT to 1440P is the RX 5600 to 1080P, they both are designed to dominate at their respective resolutions. Running Warframe at 1440P should be a breeze, the average frame rate is around 220FPS, this is more than enough for buttery smooth and high definition gaming.
The Sapphire RX 5700 XT has a base clock speed of 1770 MHz, 1905 MHz game, 2010 MHz boost & 2560 Stream processors. Just make sure you have a decent enough power supply to supply the necessary juice to this graphics card, we recommend at least a 550W PSU.
Our recommended CPU for the RX 5700 XT is the Ryzen 5 5600x. The RX 5700 XT is a beefy GPU that needs a decent CPU that matches its performance.
RTX 3070 | Best 1440P/4K Graphics Card
Core Clock Speed – 1500 MHz(base), 1725 MHz(boost), Cores – 5888, Memory – GDDR6/8GB, Memory Clock – 14000 MHz, Memory Bandwidth – 448.0 GB/s, Length(MM) – 242MM, Outputs – 1xHDMI, 3xDisplayPort, TDP – 220W
The RTX 3070 shares similar performance to the RTX 2080 TI for way more than half the price, that’s a massive bang for your buck, the only problem is waiting for stocks to increase so the prices will go down. However, if you still insist, the RTX 3070 will easily run Warframe at 4K 100FPS+.
Our main concern with the RTX 3070 is its low VRAM capacity. It still uses 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM which may be a concern at higher resolutions (4K+), but you should be fine with Warframe since it isn’t a super intensive game. Moving on from the VRAM, never pay for extortionate prices, the RTX 3070 has an MSRP of $499, make sure to pay around that price point.
We recommend a high performing CPU for the RTX 3070, the Ryzen 7 5800x for just gaming, or the Ryzen 9 5900x for general purpose. Also, make sure you have a strong power supply for this graphics card, we recommend a high-quality 750W unit.
RTX 3080 | Best Enthusiast Graphics Card
Core Clock Speed – 1440 MHz(base), 1710 MHz(boost), Cores – 8704, Memory – GDDR6X/10GB, Memory Clock – 19000 MHz, Memory Bandwidth – 760.3 GB/s, Length(MM) – 285MM, Outputs – 1xHDMI, 3xDisplayPort, TDP – 320W
The RTX 3080 is going to be our main recommendation for 4K gaming, this is because it’s far more powerful than the RTX 2080 TI, and it’s more than half the price. You should have no issues when it comes to performance playing Warframe at 4K maxed out settings since you have 10GB of fast GDDR6X memory.
However our main concern with this card is the massive amounts of power this card requires. It is recommended that you upgrade your PSU before you purchase this GPU, and just for reference, it uses a 12 pin power connector which GPUs dont usually use.
The RTX 3080 is a high end GPU that deserves a high end CPU, we recommend the Ryzen 9 5900x or the Ryzen 9 5950x to go with this graphics card. These CPUs surpass what Intel provides with the I9 10900K.
